Brief introduction of rope technology
Rope access technology is a professional way of working at high altitude. Qualified rope access technicians use rope technology to reach specific work areas and carry out operations. Rope access technology is commonly used in offshore oil drilling platforms, buildings, wind power, electricity and other industrial fields or rescue.
At present, the most common and safe technology in the world is double rope technology. Rope technicians should have at least two independent anchor ropes when working with ropes. One is used for access, exit and support, named working ropes. Another as an additional backup safety rope that is safety backup rope.
